World Physiotherapy is committed to furthering the physiotherapy profession and improving global health. An important part of our purpose is to further the global physiotherapy profession by supporting our member organisations with information, expertise, and services. We provide a range of support and services for our member organisations.
Founded in 1951, World Physiotherapy represents more than 600,000 physiotherapists worldwide, through our 129 member organisations.
In Tokyo, May 2025, more than 4,500 participants from 113 countries/territories attended World Physiotherapy Congress 2025 at Tokyo International Forum.
The congress scientific programme included 23 focused symposia, 13 discussion sessions, seminars, networking sessions, clinical visits, abstracts, ePosters and printed posters.
What did Micemedia provide
For this congress Micemedia setup an RfP (Request for proposal) to selected local suppliers. This RfP contained technical and detailed request for information on which the supplier was asked to respond technically and financially and a description of suppliers project approach and innovative thinking.
Micemedia interviewed suppliers to gain insight which supplier could best meet the needs of World Physiotherapy. (note: Each suppliers’ quote goes always also directly to the organiser. Micemedia does not receive a kick-back fee from any supplier.)
Based on the choice of suppliers, Micemedia setup a ‘Production schedule’. This is a detailed overview of all sessions so timing like buildup, break, room setting change, is accurately defined.
This is combined with (.dwg) floorplans to ensure no mistakes are made. Also, prior to the event, all technology integration (apps, streaming, recording, etc.) is tested.
During the event, Micemedia managed all technology suppliers and ensured seamless integration.
Micemedia also assisted World Physiotherapy with the integration of Interprefy (live, real-time translating) on their mobile app during preparations.
The result of working with Micemedia
The product ‘Technical director’ is a strong and valuable tool Micemedia provides for midsize and large congresses. The management of the venue technology and integration of the various partners was made easy with Micemedia’s expertise that contributed to a high-level congress with a big appreciation of the delegates of ESCMID Global 2025.
